The University of Pardubice (established in 1950) is a modern and dynamic public higher education institution, preparing specialists for successful careers in a wide variety of professions. The university offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree study programmes in more than one hundred and thirty specialisations. With 10,000 enrolled students, it is one of the middle-sized universities in the Czech Republic.

Today Faculty of Electrical Engineering educates professionals for the public as well as the private sectors in 8 study programmes offering three degrees of higher education (bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate). It prepares students for careers of qualified software engineers, programmers, experts in signal transmission or network administrators. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics keeps up with the latest technology trends and uses state-of-the-art technologies in education. It cooperates with a wide range of companies and combines theoretical learning with practical experience. Students are enabled to take internationally recognized certified exams during their studies which facilitates their integration in the job market. Our faculty has been involved in projects and studies in the field of data, such as databases, data analysis, deep learning and data mining. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering has several research teams.

Researchers from these teams focus on a variety of research issues in applied and experimental development. This contributes to the transfer of knowledge to teaching and other areas of research and teaching, such as machine and deep learning and development of novel method in the area of big data processing.
